We'll teach you Expect
| Subject | Expect is an extension of the Tcl language. It allows you to
automate regular FTP, Telnet, passwd, rlogin and other sessions and
provide user friendly front ends to a host of other applications too.
In order to make use of Expect, you'll need to understand the fundamentals
of Tcl too; our Tcl Basics course covers this for you, as well as Expect topics
such as spawn, expect, send, and special variable such as expect_out.
If you're going to make further use of Expect (for example, control
multiple processes at the same time), or use the Tk GUI with Expect,
you'll want to stay on for our Tcl/Tk course too.
|
| Location | We run regular Public Courses, which are ideal if you have just one or two
trainees requiring training. For larger groups, we'll come to you; we bring
along all the equipment needed and run Private Courses - all you need provide is a
suitable room and the students!
|
| Training | We run a whole range of courses - some suitable for the newcomer to
computer programming, others for seasoned programmers learning a new language,
or wishing to learn about advanced features of a language.
|
| About us | We're computer professionals who have been writing and presenting
specialist training courses for a number of years. Last year, we
moved our public courses to our new training centre - located in a
peaceful old "Spa House" in Melksham, Wiltshire, where the atmosphere
and facilities are ideal for getting away from your office to learn!
As well as public courses, we also run private courses for individual
client organisations, and we also undertake a limited number of
development and support in our areas of expertise.
